Location: Toronto, ONEmployment Type: Full TimeWork Environment: In PersonAbout Gonez Media:Gonez Media is one of Canada's leading independent digital media companies, reaching millions of people every month through journalism, original programming, social media and branded content.Our portfolio includes Now Toronto, Now Canada and The Brandon Gonez Show, alongside original productions, live experiences and partnerships with some of the world's biggest brands.We're building the next generation of Canadian media, and we're looking for a talented Videographer & Editor to join our growing team.The Role:This is a hands on production role for someone who knows how to capture a moment, tell a compelling story visually and turn around high quality content quickly.You'll work across Gonez Media's brands and productions, shooting everything from studio interviews and podcasts to breaking news, red carpets, street interviews, live events, branded campaigns and social first content.You should be just as comfortable setting up a multi camera studio production as you are grabbing a camera and heading into the field when a story breaks.Most importantly, you should be able to work independently, solve problems on the fly and understand the speed and creativity required in a digital first newsroom and production environment.What You'll Do:Shoot high quality video content in studio and on location across Gonez Media productions and platformsFilm interviews, podcasts, news coverage, red carpets, live events, streeters, branded content and original programmingSet up and operate multi camera productions, including cameras, lighting and audioEdit short form and long form content for TikTok, Instagram,



YouTube and other digital platformsTurn around social first video quickly while maintaining strong production standardsCapture content for both vertical and horizontal formats, with an understanding of how composition and storytelling differ across platformsSupport live streams and live productions, including multi camera setupsWork independently in the field alongside reporters, hosts and producersCollaborate with editorial, production and branded content teams to execute creative conceptsColour correct and perform basic audio mixing to ensure consistent quality across productionsOrganize, manage, back up and archive footage and production assetsSet up, strike and maintain cameras, lighting, audio and other production equipmentTroubleshoot technical issues quickly during studio and field productionsHelp maintain a consistent visual standard across Gonez Media brandsOccasionally work evenings and weekends when productions, events or news coverage require itWhat We're Looking For:Professional experience in videography, video production or a related fieldStrong camera operation skills and understanding of exposure, composition, frame rates, shutter speed, white balance and focusStrong knowledge of lighting and audio for interviews,



studio productions and field shootsExperience with professional mirrorless and cinema camera systems; experience with Sony cameras is an assetStrong editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro or comparable skilled editing softwareExperience with multi camera production and editingExperience creating content specifically for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other digital platformsAbility to shoot and edit both vertical and horizontal contentAbility to work quickly and deliver content under tight deadlinesStrong troubleshooting and problem solving skillsAbility to work independently without requiring constant directionStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities in a fast paced environmentExperience with live streaming, live switching, motion graphics or photography is an assetWho Thrives at Gonez Media:You're creative, resourceful and calm under pressure.You care about producing great looking content, but you also understand that digital media moves quickly.
