Safety Advisor III- Pay Rate: $60.00 - $70.00/hour, depending on experience- Contract Length: 28 months- Location: Sarnia, ON - OnsiteResponsibilitiesLeadership & Program Management- Lead implementation and continuous improvement of project SSHE programs, policies, procedures, and management systems.- Support project teams and business lines in meeting safety objectives and regulatory requirements.- Promote a strong safety culture through leadership, coaching, training, awareness initiatives, and recognition programs.- Mentor and develop junior SSHE personnel.Compliance & Risk Management- Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, permits, and industry best practices.- Develop, review, and update safety standards, procedures, instructions, and documented practices.- Participate in and facilitate risk assessments, PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, compliance reviews, and other safety studies.- Review current project designs and facility modifications for safety compliance and risk reduction.Field Safety Oversight- Conduct inspections, audits, and assessments of construction projects, operating facilities, contractors, subcontractors, and support locations.- Identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions; develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.- Monitor contractor safety performance and alignment with project safety execution plans.Incident Management & Emergency Response- Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective action development, and reporting.- Provide technical support during emergency response activities and participate in drills and preparedness programs.- Communicate lessons learned and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions.Performance Monitoring & Reporting- Monitor SSHE performance indicators and trends.- Prepare and present safety reports, metrics, recommendations,
