The position is for a senior building restoration structural engineer with a solid background in building rehabilitation and structural design.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe evaluation, assessment and restoration design work of existing residential, commercial and industrial buildings.Manage projects and clients from the conceptual design phase to final completion, including administering contracts under construction.Oversee quality assurance and quality control procedures for all deliverables, specifically the construction drawings and specifications as they relate to building structures.Assisting with hiring, training and mentoring new structural engineering employees.Assisting with the setting of goals for company growth in building restoration engineeringOngoing review of existing work flow procedures and make recommendations for improvements.Conducting building investigations and reporting.Produce detailed technical reports and letters describing on site field observations with engineering recommendations and construction cost estimates.Assist with preparing client proposals and calculating fees.Assisting field staff and various team members with project execution during all project phases.QualificationsDegree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited universityProfessional Engineer designation in Ontario with a background in reinforced-concrete and steel building structures with an understanding of constructabilityA broad knowledge of commercial and industrial buildingsMinimum 5 years of concrete repair and design experienceGood report writing and computer skillsStrong attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skillsThe ability to work independentlyFluency in EnglishProficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD or RevitA positive attitude and good work ethicPosses a valid driver's license and has access to a vehicleWilling to travel/work remotely, as required#J-18808-Ljbffr
