SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector.We are seeking a Senior/Principal Resource Geologist.Description of Responsibilities We are seeking a Senior/Principal Resource Geologist to be based in our office in Toronto, Ontario.Our geology group in Toronto is one of the largest in SRK North America, with a diverse cross-section of structural geologists, resource geologists, geostatisticians and mining engineers.As a senior to principal level consultant, your general responsibilities will include mineral resource estimation, technical reporting and due diligence project reviews. An important aspect of working for SRK is the individual growth of your consulting skills within the broader global consulting group. As such, the successful applicant will be expected to establish and maintain client relationships.A degree in geology or engineering8+ years of applied resource estimation experience in an exploration or operational capacityProfessional registration with Association of Qualified Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) or Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO),



or eligibility to obtain itStrong geostatistical skills and proficiency with computerized resource estimation toolsSound geological understanding of ore deposits with 3 D geological modeling skillsExperience with modern implicit modelling tools will be beneficialAbility to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary project teamsKnowledge and experience of conditional simulation techniques will be an assetEstablished network within mining industryStrong written and verbal communication skillsSome prior consulting experience will be preferredDynamic and energetic, capacity to mentor junior consultantsCapacity to act as a Qualified Person or equivalent to satisfy requirements for National Instrument 43-101, JORC, SAMREC, etc.This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects both nationally and overseas; international travel may form a part of the role.This opportunity reflects a current hiring need for an existing vacancy.SRK uses Artificial Intelligence to support certain aspects of the recruitment process, however all selection and hiring decisions are made exclusively by the relevant hiring teamThe estimated base pay range for this position is $120,000–$170,000+.
