Bourgault is looking for a motivated engineering student with a passion for agriculture to join our R&D; Engineering team in St. Brieux!
Responsibilities
- Use SolidWorks to develop computer models of new product components or modify existing products/components
- Conduct design analysis and refinement.
- Communicate with vendors to specify and obtain outsourced components.
- Assist with prototype assembly and field testing.
- Communicate with other teams (purchasing, manufacturing, service, etc.) to ensure successful product change integration.
- Occasional travel to various field test locations.
Required Skills/Experience
- Currently enrolled in an engineering program (mechanical preferred)
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
- Experience doing structural analysis with FEA software is an asset
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- High level of analytical thought and creativity
- A solid knowledge of and interest in current farming practices and related technology is an asset
- Enjoy working in a hands-on environment that supports being self-directed!
