Job Summary

As a Recycling Depot Attendant, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to safe,efficient, and customer-focused operations. In this role, you will supportcommunity recycling services, help maintain site standards, and assistcustomers in a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner.

This position involves working in a noisy environment and inall types of weather conditions, always requiring adaptability and a strongfocus on safety.

This position is casual position. The successful candidate may be called upon to provide coverage at both the Mission Recycling Depot and the Abbotsford Mission Recycling Depot as operational needs require.

Position Description

- Work safely and effectively as part of a team, following allcompany and safety procedures.
- Inspect incoming recyclable materials to ensure they meetfacility specifications, provide essential recycling services, and educatecustomers and the community on proper recycling practices.




- Deliver excellent customer service to both residential andcommercial customers, including assisting with traffic flow when required.
- Participate in training to gain the skills needed to performall role duties.
- Ensure the depot is maintained in a clean, organized, andsafe condition at all times.
- Support the Site Supervisor in ensuring the Abbotsford andMission Recycling Depots meet all company and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage onsite inventories with the SiteSupervisor and team to maintain compliance with contractual and regulatorystandards.
- Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, customerservice, and safety.
- Assist in training recent employees on site operations,material specifications, and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

- A passion for contributing to the green economy andproviding essential services to the community.
- Ability to work primarily outdoors, either in the recyclingdepot or in and around the facility.
- Strong commitment to safety in all tasks and aspects of thejob.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience, preferably in a customerservice–oriented environment.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbaland written.




- Experience operating small mobile equipment (e.g., forklift)is an asset but not required.
- Ability and willingness to work shift schedules (day shiftsonly, four days on/four days off), including some weekends.
- A friendly personality with a “roll-up-your-sleeves and getit done” attitude.
- A good sense of humor is considered an asset and highlyvalued.
