Role Description This full-time on-site role is for a Registered Massage Therapist based at Pure Wellness in Edmonton, AB.

The Registered Massage

Therapist will provide high-quality therapeutic and relaxation massage treatments, including modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and other relevant techniques, following a client-focused treatment plan. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client consultations, assessing needs and concerns, developing individualized treatment plans, and documenting treatment notes in accordance with professional standards. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment, collaborating with other wellness professionals,



and supporting clients with education on stress management, injury prevention, and overall health. The therapist will also help nurture strong client relationships by listening actively, responding to feedback, and delivering skilled, respectful customer service.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong therapeutic massage skills, including experience with body massage and relevant modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, or other clinical techniques.
- Candidates should demonstrate excellent customer service abilities, including active listening, clear communication, and a client-centered approach.
- Candidates should have knowledge of stress management principles and be able to integrate them into treatment plans and client education.
- Candidates should have formal training or experience in Shiatsu or other complementary bodywork practices, or be open to developing these skills.
- Completion of a recognized massage therapy program and current registration/licensure with the appropriate regulatory body in Alberta.
- Ability to work full-time on-site, manage a consistent caseload, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Strong professional ethics, respect for client boundaries and confidentiality, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory care.
- CPR/First Aid certification and experience in a multidisciplinary wellness or fitness environment are considered assets.
