RFNOW Inc. is seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our team as aFiber Splicing Technician. The successful candidates will be involved in our day-to-day operations including the preparation and installation of fibre internet infrastructure maintaining, repairing, connecting separate fiber runs.Role & Responsibilities:Splice and test fiber optic cables in all inside/outside plant applications – buried and underground; both on newly placed cable and existing cablesAnalyze test results and have the ability to troubleshoot and correct any faults or defectsInterpret and understand placing and splicing work plansThis position requires that the individual be motivated and self-disciplined, able to work on their own or closely with other team members to optimize efficiency to ensure that the client's due date(s)
are metExperience as a Fiber Optic Splicer is an asset but will train right candidateAbility to interpret placing and splicing plansCompetency in OTDR and other testing protocol an assetMust have a valid Drivers' License - will require drivers abstractAbility to travel to various work sites as workload dictatesOvertime required in applicable situations in order to meet customer delivery commitments; this could include somenight and weekend workWork in all weather conditionsThis role will give you the chance to work out of your home community.
