You won’t be buried on a big team — you’ll be the engineer on the project, with support from product, ops, and factory partners as you ramp up.This is an in‑person role out of our Calgary office. The best designs happen when you can walk into the warehouse, drop a sample on the platform,

and load it up yourself. What You’ll Be DoingTaking a concept, refining it, and making it manufacturable — owning the design from first sketch through tooling and full productionDesigning innovative, multi‑use, space‑saving equipment that punches well above its price tagProducing the deliverables that move a product forward: 3D models, 2D concept drawings, occasional DXFs, and engineering reports (FEA and the like)Designing to ISO 20957 compliance so the gear is safe, certifiable, and built to standardLiving in Autodesk Inventor day to day (SolidWorks experience is great too) — turning ideas into clean, manufacturable drawings and BOMsWorking hand‑in‑hand with our overseas factories — including the occasional trip (1–2 per year) for tooling sign‑off, sample reviews, and supplier audits, plus the odd industry trade showPressure‑testing your own designs IRL — assemble the sample, load up some plates, find the wobble before the customer doesCollaborating across product, marketing, ops, and customer service so the gear works in real garages, basements, and spare bedrooms — not just on paperOwning the process,

but staying nimble when priorities shift mid‑project (and they will)Understanding the voice of the customer through reviews and customer feedback, and incorporating that feedback into designs for current products and product revisionsWhat You BringA Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldEIT registration/P.Eng designation or eligibility in Alberta2+ years of mechanical design experience — internships and co‑ops countProficiency in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks — Inventor is what you’ll primarily be working inWorking knowledge of steel fabrication (welding, tube bending, machining, finishing)Bonus points for any exposure to plastic and iron castingsSome experience working with overseas manufacturing partners is a plus, but not required — we’ll get you up to speedA weightlifting or strength training background doesn’t hurt — at minimum, a real willingness to put hands on the gear and to learn strength training and learn about our customer baseStrong written and verbal communication — you can ask the right questions and flag issues earlyProcess‑oriented, but not thrown off by a last‑minute pivotWhat’s In It For You70,000–85,000 base salary, depending on experienceHealth Spending AccountHybrid schedule based out of a Calgary office you’ll actually want to come intoEmployee discounts on all our gearAccess to our staff gymA team that actually likes what they doThe Pay Range for This Role Is 70,000 – 85,000 CAD per year (Calgary).#J-18808-Ljbffr
