This OpportunityWe are currently looking to fill Part time Support Service Attendantroles in our southwest region – 2 at 993 Maxwell St, Sarnia, ON.Schedule: Includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Starting wage: $22.24 per hour. This compensation is inclusive of a $3.00 per hour wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients. The wage enhancement does not apply to training and paid leave.Hours: Hours vary 15hrs - 22.5 hr per weekDuties include the following:Assists consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and with March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures:Personal careLifts and TransfersRising/retiringBowel and bladder proceduresMeal preparation and feedingRange of motion exercisesOther light housekeeping dutiesPerforms duties in a professional manner,

The Support Services Attendants will be required to work multiple shifts (i.E. work days, evenings, weekends) that vary between locations.Background / Qualifications:High School graduate or equivalentCurrent Standard First Aid and CPR certificationExperience working with people with physical disabilities, experience/knowledge/understanding of Independent Living or Consumer based care.Knowledge of and abilities in transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines and other attendant care dutiesPhysical Demands Self Analysis Required upon hireGood interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work flexible and regularly scheduled hoursValid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
