This role requires availability on weekends, holidays, and overnights.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESCleans assigned area by washing furnishings, and equipment with cleaning solutions, disinfects to prevent the spread of diseaseScrubs, waxes and polishes floorsUses dust cloths and vacuum cleaner to dust windowsills, blinds, floor and furnitureEmpties trash baskets and recycling containersMakes beds with clean linen in prescribed mannerScour, disinfects and polishes work as assignedMaintains confidentiality of patients, families, employees and Hospital informationCompletes other related duties as requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDSWork may include lifting, pulling, carrying and pushing. Considerable walking, standing with occasional bending and stooping. May be in frequent contact with water, cleaning and disinfectant solutions.QUALIFICATIONSCompletion of High School Diploma or the equivalent (Essential) Experience in hospital cleaning procedures such as dealing with infectious disease (Preferred) Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning, sanitation process and housekeeping techniques (Essential) Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills (Essential) Ability to work with limited supervision.
