Loewen's corporate office in Steinbach, MB is seeking a Business Analyst to join the team. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for liaising between business stakeholders and IT on the integration and support of business and reporting systems throughout the company. You will work closely with management to analyze software applications and reporting in an effort to improve processes.

You will be responsible for recommending solutions to assist the organization in achieving corporate goals.

As Business

Analyst, you will be responsible to help develop, implement and support business analytics for overall company, with a particular focus on designing and analyzing reports for sales, marketing and senior management, and researching current data sources and analytical tools to enhance the data-driven business focus. You will also be responsible for ensuring data integrity across business units and training staff on using the created systems.



Document functional and non-functional business requirements for system enhancements/defect fixes required.

Document processes or procedures, create testing documentation, and create specifications or proposals. Responsible for the extraction and analysis of complex information from a variety of data sources. Manipulate and compile data sets into comprehensive reports and dashboards to make business partners more self-sufficient.

Extract, review and prepare sales and customer data for analysis, reporting using SQL/BI Tools. University degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience ~4-6 years of experience as a business analyst and/or data analysis ~ Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) ~ Experience with SQL and relational databases and a solid grasp of data structures ~ Excellent communication skills including business writing and presentation skills ~ Commitment to continuous business process optimization We have a culture where diversity is valued and where you have the opportunity to make a difference.
