The J. Hansen HVAC Group Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman HVAC Technician to join our growing team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems.The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of supporting both scheduled service and emergency response work. Hansen HVAC Group Inc.'s reputation for quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.Duties and Responsibilities:Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components including motors, controls, valves, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors using hand and power toolsInstall, troubleshoot, and overhaul complete heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systemsPerform system start-ups and test for leaks using appropriate diagnostic and testing devicesMaintain, repair, and replace parts and components for refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and heat pump systemsDiagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutionsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsEnsure all work complies with applicable HVAC codes, standards,



and safety regulationsComplete service documentation, reports, and work orders accurately and in a timely mannerCommunicate professionally with customers regarding system performance, service findings, and recommended repairsSupport 24-hour emergency service on a flexible rotating on-call scheduleMaintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in valuable working conditionPerform other related duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:Service experience in commercial and/or industrial HVAC systems is an assetStrong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and mechanical systemsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to support 24-hour emergency service on a rotating scheduleAbility to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling, and reachingAbility to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and/or on aerial platformsMust be comfortable working at heightsStrong time management skills and attention to detailEducation & Certifications:Completion of secondary school is requiredLicensed Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (Journeyperson preferred)Gas Fitter Class B License is preferred, willingness to obtain certification is considered an assetWHMIS and applicable safety certificationsValid driver's license and willingness to provide a driver's abstractComplete health benefit packageCompetitive company RRSP package with option for employee matchingCompetitive wages, above industry standard
