Risk Analyst II – AML Investigations

Toronto, ON | Hybrid | Contract

Join our client's Global Anti-Money Laundering (GAML) team and help detect and deter money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crime risks. As a Risk Analyst II, you’ll review transactional activity, assess alerts, and support AML Operations in a leading financial institution.

What you’ll do

- Analyze transactional activity to identify unusual patterns, potential risks, and suspicious activity.
- Review and investigate alerts, documenting findings and escalating higher-risk or non-standard activity as appropriate.
- Manage a daily workload to meet service-level and productivity expectations, including a target of 10 alerts per day.
- Apply AML procedures, internal policies, and relevant regulatory requirements in your work.
- Review information against applicable lists, guidelines, and procedures, and flag discrepancies.
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality while working across systems and processes.
- Support operational improvements and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.

What you bring
- At least 2 years of Risk Analyst experience.




- Fundamental knowledge of AML operations, standards, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
- Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Robust analytical, research, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Secondary education or equivalent work experience.

Assets: Banking or financial services experience; CAMS or ACFCS certification.

Assignment details

- Contract term: November 16, 2026–November 15, 2027
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, core business hours
- Work arrangement: Hybrid; onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Work location: Toronto, ON M5K 1A2
- Compensation: $40.75/hour plus 4% vacation pay
- Overtime: As needed
- Extension or conversion: Possible, subject to business needs
