Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support the financial operations of our construction company. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, preparing reports, and supporting the accounting team with day-to-day tasks. This role is ideal for a candidate with basic accounting knowledge, looking to grow within the construction industry.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in processing accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) transactionsReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesPrepare and enter journal entriesAssist in maintaining general ledger accountsProcess employee expense reports and verify receiptsHelp with payroll preparation and timesheet verificationTrack job costing and support project accountants with budget monitoringAssist with bank reconciliations and monthly closing proceduresMaintain and organize financial files, contracts, and invoicesHelp compile documentation for audits and tax filingsCommunicate with suppliers, subcontractors,



and internal teams regarding billing and paymentsEnsure compliance with internal controls and financial proceduresSupport the Senior Accountant and Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks and reportsQualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field1-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (construction industry experience preferred)Familiarity with accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, Sage 300, Jonas, or Procore is a plus)Robust Excel skills and basic knowledge of MS OfficeExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentUnderstanding of basic construction accounting principles (job costing, progress billing, retainage, etc.) is an assetWorking ConditionsFull-time position, Monday to FridayJob Type: Full-timePay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per yearBenefitsDental careExtended health carePaid time offVision careLanguageEnglish (preferred)Work Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
