The City of Edmonton is looking for people across all our rich diversity to screen, handle and process waste materials at the compost curing site at the Edmonton Waste Management Centre (EWMC). This position is responsible for the secure, productive operation and deployment of multiple equipment related to composting operations.What will you do?Operate specialty mobile equipment, including but not limited to Grinder, Shredder, Tracked Excavator with Hydraulic Grapple attachment, Water Truck, Articulating Wheel Loader.Be responsible for light maintenance and cleaning of the equipment and filling out the relevant paperwork.Identify, troubleshoot and report any equipment mechanical issues.Support general cure site operations, including but not limited to tarping aerated static piles, assembling and running pumping equipment, and sorting through grass, leaf, and yard waste dropped off by residents.Attend and participate in safety meetings and advise of any health and safety concerns.Perform other related duties as required.QualificationsCompletion of Grade ten (10) or equivalent or higher.Two (2) years of experience operating compost screening equipment, stacking conveyors loaders, horizontal grinders, water truck, and excavators in a composting facility environment.One (1) year heavy duty equipment operating experience required.Skills Required for SuccessAbility to operate assigned equipment skillfully,
