Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Product Owner (8+ years) to deliver data and analytics products using Power BI, SQL, Python, Agile delivery, and Azure-based analytics platforms

Join an innovative Risk Strategy, Governance & Enablement Data & Analytic Product team delivering scalable analytics products within a large financial services environment. This role combines product ownership, business analysis, and hands-on analytics delivery to support enterprise risk reporting, automation, and modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will lead analytics product delivery, stakeholder engagement, backlog prioritization, and Power BI reporting solutions while supporting enterprise data modernization efforts using Azure technologies.

The position offers exposure to enterprise data initiatives, risk management processes, and strategic transformation programs with potential conversion opportunities.

Must Haves

- 8+ years in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, product ownership, or business analysis roles
- Advanced Power BI including DAX, data modeling, Power Query, dashboard development, and performance optimization
- Strong SQL skills working with large and complex datasets and proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation
- Hands-on Agile delivery and Product Ownership including requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and backlog prioritization
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Business Analytics, Finance, or related discipline

Nice to Have

- Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Enterprise Risk, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Regulatory Reporting, or Governance reporting
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and cloud data platforms
- Experience serving as Product Owner, Product Manager, Senior Business Analyst,



or Delivery Lead in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with Alteryx, Visio, Power Query, Power Pivot, and advanced Excel capabilities
- MBA, Agile certification, CSPO, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

- Serve as Product Owner for analytics and reporting products across Risk stakeholders and delivery teams
- Lead business discovery and requirements gathering sessions to define analytics and reporting needs
- Manage and prioritize product backlogs, roadmaps, and delivery plans for analytics initiatives
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data models for reporting requirements
- Utilize Python to automate data processing, reconciliation, validation, and reporting workflows
- Support enterprise data modernization initiatives using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and related Azure services
