Empower newcomer youth at YMCA Mississauga as a Youth Advisor. Develop programs to support their integration and community involvement.

This full-time, 4.5-month contract role is perfect for individuals with a passion for youth development. You will engage with diverse youth and build relationships with families, helping them find meaningful opportunities while working closely with various community stakeholders. Your proactive approach will be essential in monitoring trends in youth development and connecting newcomers to essential resources.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement youth leadership programs
• Recruit and retain youth participants from local communities
• Anticipate and assess community and youth needs




• Plan and execute special NYLD events throughout the year
• Conduct outreach presentations in schools and communities

Requirements:
• University degree or relevant diploma required
• Experience with teens and young adults essential
• Knowledge of settlement services for newcomer youth
• Exceptional presentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings
