Deco-Tile is seeking an experienced Architectural & Design Account Manager with a proven background working directly with architects, interior designers and design firms.
This is a relationship-driven, field-based role for someone who understands the architectural specification process and knows how to develop products from initial presentation and sampling through specification, project follow-up and final sale.
Key responsibilities include:
Visiting architectural and interior design firms regularly
Building long-term relationships with architects, designers and specifiers
Presenting tile collections, technical information and material samples
Identifying active and upcoming commercial, hospitality, residential and institutional projects
Securing product specifications and following projects through each stage
Coordinating samples, pricing and technical support
Maintaining an organized project pipeline and reporting on progress
Developing current accounts through consistent in-person prospecting and networking
Candidate requirements:
Direct experience selling or specifying products to architects and interior designers
A strong understanding of the architectural and design community
Experience with tile, stone, flooring, surfaces, plumbing fixtures, lighting, furniture or other architectural materials is strongly preferred
Proven ability to build relationships and generate specifications
Strong presentation, communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated and comfortable spending most of the working week meeting clients in the field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or sales-tracking systems
This is not a general retail or inside-sales position. We are specifically looking for a candidate who understands how to solicit on architectural and design firms, uncover project opportunities and develop a reliable specification pipeline.
If you have established experience (Minimum 5 years) serving the architecture and design community and would like to represent Deco-Tile’s distinctive collection of tile and surface products, we would like to hear from you.
