Rutwind Brar LLP Chartered Skilled Accountants is a public practice accounting firm in Edmonton, Alberta. Our team currently consists of 2 partners and approximately 15 team members who are dedicated to assisting our clients by providing assurance, financial reporting and innovative tax and business advisory services.
We are currently searching for a dedicated results-oriented accountant to join our team as a Senior Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate has two+ years of experience at a public practice firm dealing with private owner managed and not-for-profit clients. CPA designation is required.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables (but not be limited to):
Plan and execute compilation, review and audit engagements, including preparation of financial statements and applicable tax filing requirements
GST reporting and reconciliations
T-slip preparation and reconciliations
Establish and maintain client relationships
Respond to client inquiries and concerns
Work within time and budgets restraints, monitoring progress and ensuring deadlines are met




Engage in continuous professional development in order to maintain knowledge for the role and meet the CPA designation requirements
Train and mentor junior accounting staff
Report progress of engagement to Manager and Partner
Qualifications:
CPA designation, or equivalent
2+ years of public practice experience required
Strong understanding of accounting and tax fundamentals
Ability to multi-task, work independently, meet deadlines and learn quickly
Good analytical, organizational and communication skills
High standard of integrity and commitment to exceptional client service
