Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Social Media & Content Marketing Manager for an immediate 6-month contract. In this role, you will lead Edsby’s multi-channel social media presence, drive educator community engagement, and execute content strategies that enhance our organic search and AI answer engine visibility (AEO).

The ideal candidate understands how to speak to K-12 educators and district leaders, excels at adapting core assets into multi-platform campaigns, and stays ahead of trends in SEO and generative AI discovery.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Multi-Channel Management

- Content Planning & Execution: Develop and manage a comprehensive monthly content calendar across core platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X, Bluesky, Facebook, and Medium.
- Asset Creation & Adaptation: Produce and curate engaging, platform-native content—including infographics, carousels, customer wins, product insight videos, educator case studies, and competitor comparisons.
- Community Engagement: Implement proactive comment strategies to engage district leaders and educators. Identify high-value discussion threads for direct participation by Edsby leadership and product experts. Build share of voice on Reddit and Quora.
- Audience Expansion: Monitor and evaluate emerging K-12 digital communities (e.g., Discord, specialized networks)



to recommend actionable outreach and growth opportunities.

SEO & AI Search Optimization

- Organic Search Growth: Manage the pipeline for long-form, SEO-optimized content, blog publishing, and high-intent keyword strategies to drive inbound organic traffic.
- Generative AI Visibility: Optimize Edsby’s presence across AI search surfaces (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude) driven by HubSpot AEO dashboard tool.
- Technical & On-Page SEO: Execute ongoing site health updates, including metadata optimization, internal linking, and index tracking via Google Search Console.
- Brand Maintenance: Update official brand touchpoints, including review platforms (e.g., G2) and Wikipedia entries.

Qualifications

- Experience: 2 years managing social media, digital content, and SEO strategies. B2B SaaS or edtech organization experience a valued, differentiating asset.
- Content Capabilities: Proven ability to produce varied formats (short-form video, long-read articles, visual social graphics, and Q&A; content).
- Technical & Search Skills: Hands-on experience with technical SEO fundamentals, esp. Google Search Console, WordPress SEO plugins, and AI-assisted content tools.
- Platform Mastery: Proficiency with social scheduling and other relevant platforms
- Availability: Ready to start immediately for a full-time, 6-month contract commitment.
