Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with skillful precision and attention to detail
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards
Select fresh ingredients, including fish, vegetables, and rice, ensuring quality control at every step of food preparation
Serve guests promptly with friendly, professional service that enhances their dining experience
Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency across all dishes
Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and notifying management of supply needs
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service hours





Experience
Proven food service experience in a restaurant workplace, preferably with a focus on Japanese cuisine or sushi preparation
Solid background in food handling, cooking techniques, and meal preparation within the food industry
Familiarity with serving guests in a quick-paced setting while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling raw fish and perishable ingredients
Previous kitchen experience involving food preparation, cooking, and plating in a restaurant setting is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
