Pro Tax Block Corp. | Calgary, AB (Westwinds Dr NE) | Full-time, on-site

Pay: $23-$25/hour (based on experience)

Pro Tax Block Corp. is a busy Calgary tax, accounting and corporate registry practice serving individuals, self-employed clients and small-to-medium corporations, with a solid base in trucking, construction, healthcare and retail. We're growing and looking for a tax professional to join our team.

What you'll do
Prepare personal (T1) returns, including self-employed, rental and investment income
Prepare corporate (T2) returns and compile year-end financial statements
Prepare GST/HST returns and help with bookkeeping and payroll for clients
Meet clients in person, gather documents and explain results clearly
Help respond to CRA reviews, letters and requests for information
Handle tax work by email and drop-off as well as walk-in clients

What we're looking for




1+ years of Canadian personal and/or corporate tax preparation experience
Working knowledge of ProFile (or similar tax software) and QuickBooks
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several files at once
Valuable communication skills with clients; Punjabi or Hindi is an asset
Accounting diploma/degree or progress toward one is an asset

Hours

Full time. Regular hours are Monday to Friday (full days) plus a half day on Saturday or Sunday. During personal tax season (Feb-Apr), we work 6 full days per week, with a 7th day available as optional.
