Enhance client care as a Recreation Therapy Assistant with Vancouver Coastal Health at Margaret Fulton Centre. As a Recreation Therapy Assistant, you will operate under the supervision of a Program Manager and a Recreation Therapist while directly providing essential services within both community and site settings.

Your role will encompass program planning, monitoring client participation, and adapting activities to meet individual needs. Engaging with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring their cultural safety and respect, is key to your success. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement individual or group programs
Demonstrate and modify recreation activities




Report client progress to the interdisciplinary team
Provide direction to volunteers supporting the programs
Transport clients using a van or bus when necessary Requirements:
Completion of a Therapeutic Recreation Diploma Program
Knowledge of Trauma Informed Practice
Experience working with diverse populations
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
