Lead the intellectual property function at Lyten as the recent Patent & IP Counsel. This unique role demands hands-on drafting and patent strategy while closely aligning with product development teams. Lyten is seeking an experienced Patent & IP Counsel to spearhead its IP efforts.

You will manage patent filings, perform freedom-to-operate analyses, and ensure alignment with market strategies in energy and materials innovation. The role blends strategic leadership with practical patent prosecution duties, creating a significant impact in various sectors, including batteries and sensors. Key Responsibilities:
Drive the overall patent strategy and filing prioritization
Lead patent claim and FTO strategy development
Review invention disclosures and collaborate with inventors




Manage the annual patent budget and outside counsel
Oversee IP diligence in acquisitions and asset purchases Requirements:
J.D. and active state law license; USPTO registration required
7+ years of IP experience with direct drafting
Bachelor's in relevant science/engineering discipline
Robust drafting skills for licensing and confidentiality agreements
Proven experience in M&A; or asset purchase IP diligence Make a meaningful impact on Lyten’s groundbreaking technologies in energy and materials innovation.
