Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
Support cooking activities by following instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors to ensure timely meal production
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
Handle food safely by practicing proper hygiene, storage, and handling procedures at all times
Serve meals efficiently to customers or staff,
ensuring presentation meets quality standards
Help with inventory management by receiving deliveries, checking for quality, and storing ingredients appropriately
Support the overall food service operation by adhering to health and safety guidelines and assisting team members as needed
Skills
Experience in food handling, meal preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food industry environment
Strong understanding of food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices
Ability to serve food efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and basic food preparation techniques
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Familiarity with restaurant operations or previous food service experience is preferred
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
