$200 a day · Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday · 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
One client. One home. No agency. No travelling between houses.
We need a reliable Personal Support Worker for a gentleman who turned 90 this year. He lives at home in Scarborough, is in good health, and prefers a woman. The schedule is fixed: three days a week, 11 paid hours a day, with a one-hour unpaid lunch. The rate is $200 a day, paid bi-weekly, plus 4% vacation pay. That is about $18.18 an hour before vacation pay.
What the day looks like
Help with bathing, dressing, and personal care
Walk with him and keep pathways explicit so he does not fall
Plan and prepare meals, then clean up
Light housekeeping: laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, bed-making
Grocery shopping online, and coordinate with the cleaner
Watch for hazards and act in an emergency
Keep a straightforward daily log and tell the family if anything changes
What we need
Ontario PSW certificate from a recognized college, or a foreign nursing diploma plus Ontario home-care experience
Current First Aid and CPR
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check, or willing to get one within the first few weeks
Proof of the right to work in Canada. We do not sponsor permanent residence
At least two years with an elderly client in a private home, not only long-term care
Comfortable providing personal care to a male client
Non-smoker. Driver’s licence preferred
Reliable transport to Scarborough (M1W)
What we offer
Same client, same house, same three days every week
No last-minute calls to other clients
Direct employment with the family
Clear daily rate, paid bi-weekly
In office parking
If the rate and the three days work for you, apply with your resume, PSW certificate, and First Aid. Tell us the earliest you can start.
