Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, supporting kitchen operations, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong culinary skills, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Prior experience in dietary departments or catering is a plus, along with a solid understanding of food safety and handling protocols.

Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to menu specifications and recipes
Assist in menu planning and daily meal preparation for various service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
Support the cooking team during busy service hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Follow all food safety standards and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
Assist with catering events and special meal preparations as needed




Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with kitchen staff and serving personnel

Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or culinary setting
Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Experience with menu planning, fine dining, or catering is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus but not required
Valuable communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
