We're hiring a Carpenter at KRT Contracting to work in and around Prince George, BC on a casual, short-term, or temporary basis. If you're currently between rotations, interested in taking on the occasional project to keep your skills sharp. or looking for work that fits into your schedule, we'd love to hear from you. Our work is diverse and includes both the residential and commercial sectors, which keeps it compelling, but it also means that we like to see a wide range of skills. We would consider some or all of the following skills to be especially valuable:

Framing,

Finishing,

Cabinetry,

Drywall and painting,

Tiling,

Roofing,

Flooring,

Siding, soffit, and facia work,

Window & door installation,

Concrete forming and finishing, and

Sun deck & fence building.

At KRT, we’re known for our care for our clients, and we’re looking for a journeyperson or Red Seal carpenter to join us, who first and foremost, cares too. Which is why aside from being a skilled carpenter, we’re looking for people who are:

Most of our work is in the Prince George area,



perfect for a carpenter who wants to stick close to go home at the end of every work day, but we do some work within short driving distances, which is why each carpenter who works for us must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license. Hours of work can vary depending on your needs and availability. This role pays $38 - $45 per hour, depending on your experience, and we need candidates with a journeyman's ticket or Red Seal certification in carpentry.

Education
We are looking for people with either a Journeyman designation or Red Seal certification in carpentry. Beyond just certification, we would also like to see people with experience on construction sites.

Working hours
5-40 hours per week.

Minimum experience
3 years.
