Position Title: Foot Care Nurse Classification: Registered Nurse Job Type: Permanent Part-Time 0.4 FTE (14 /hours per week) Department: Primary Health Care Reporting to: Manager, Primary Health Care Compensation: $37.50/hr - $45.25/hr plus a comprehensive compensation package that includes time-off entitlements, health benefits, life insurance, and participation in the HOOPP pension plan. Reporting to the Manager of Primary Health Care the Footcare Nurse works as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide foot care in conjunction with our Chiropodist and practitioners to enhance client quality of life through proactive lower limb assessment and evidence-based nursing interventions. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life and Work Experience Two- three years’ of foot care nursing experience Previous clinic experience an asset Knowledge of infection prevention and control (IPAC) practices and reprocessing of instruments. ❖ Current license with the College of Nurses of Ontario (RPN) Current CPR (preferred) Training ❖ Required Language Fluency in English required Working knowledge of French or other languages an asset Knowledge of primary health care and the social determinants of health Experience working with disadvantaged communities Knowledge of footcare related to Primary Care, Community Health, Chronic Disease Management ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As our Footcare Nurse your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Nail and skin care Infection Control and sterilization -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Somerset West Community Health Centre is an equal opportunity employer who values the diversity of individuals in our programs and services.
