We offer competitive wages and seek candidates who are seeking secure, long-term employment.Job SummaryAccounts Payable is responsible for, processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.This position will include daily interaction with other team members and customers to achieve the highest productivity.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcess outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and proceduresPerform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable dataReconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.Verify and investigate discrepancies,



if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statementsFacilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clientsGenerate reports detailing accounts payables statusUnderstand expense accounts and cost centersUnderstands compliance issues around accounts payable processesOther duties as assignedQualificationsBSc degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable ClerkSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principlesProven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial recordsData entry skills along with a knack for numbersHands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary softwareProficiency in English and in MS OfficeA high degree of accuracy and attention to detailMust successfully pass BME pre-employment evaluation, D&A;, and fit for duty pre-employment screening.SubmissionWe thank you for your interest in Birch Mountain and remind all candidates that only successful applicants will be contacted.
