Thompson Construction Group has immediate openings for Heavy Equipment Service Technicians working out of our Fort McMurray operations. This role is responsible for performing scheduled service, inspections, and minor repairs on heavy equipment to ensure secure and reliable operation.Responsibilities:Perform detailed 500-hour inspections on equipment, identifying defects, leaks, cracks, wear, and damageInspect components including radiators, edges, tips, wear strips, tires, tracks, and drive systemsRepair or replace hoses, clamps, bolts, fittings, lights, and lubrication or hydraulic lines as requiredService, grease, and lubricate equipment in accordance with maintenance schedulesDocument machine hours, unit numbers, deficiencies, and required repairsRequest parts and record maintenance activities accuratelyDiagnose and repair company assets and assist other maintenance personnel as neededComplete repair orders, inspections, and time tracking in accordance with company proceduresMaintain service trucks to ensure they are clean, organized, and ready for use at all timesPerform oil, air,



and cabin filter changesQualifications:3-5 years of heavy equipment maintenance experienceAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a teamStrong understanding of safety practices and compliance with all safety standardsValid Class 1 or Class 3 operator's license with air brakes (current abstract required)Strong communication skills to coordinate work with crew, foremen, and superintendentsWillingness to work in the Fort McMurray area and live in remote camps on a rotational scheduleCommon Safety Orientation (CSO) certificationPhysically able to perform all duties of the positionAbility to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testAdditional Information:This is a full-time, project-based contractual position located in Fort McMurray, AB.
