Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Concession Manager to lead our food service operations at a large community centre snack bar in Whitby. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily concession activities, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and manage a dedicated team to deliver high-quality food and service. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, uphold food safety standards, and foster a welcoming workplace for guests.

Duties
Supervise daily concession operations, including food preparation, serving, and cash handling to ensure smooth and effective service.
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of food service staff, including interviewing candidates, training new employees, and conducting performance evaluations.
Oversee food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to meet health regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Coordinate food inventory levels, place orders as needed, and ensure proper storage to minimize waste and control costs.




Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly, resolving issues professionally, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations while fostering a team workplace focused on hospitality excellence.
Possess and maintain first aid certification, food handling certification etc.

Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, serving, and restaurant management within the food industry is an important asset
Strong leadership skills with prior supervising experience in hospitality or food service settings.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations gracefully.
Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling techniques, and kitchen operations.
Ability to manage cash handling procedures accurately while maintaining attention to detail.

Details
Business operates at various hours, including prime opening times as evenings and weekends
Pay will be $18/hr plus tips and bonus depending on sales

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
