Responsibilities
Design and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for children.
Foster a protected, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support individual needs and progress.
Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and daily activities using computer systems.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements aligned with early childhood education standards.
Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance.
Manage classroom routines efficiently, including scheduling, transitions, and behavior management strategies.
Experience
Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special educational needs is advantageous.
Bilingual abilities in English and French are a plus for supporting diverse communities.
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
Proficiency in computer operation for documentation, lesson planning, and communication purposes.
Demonstrated organizational skills to manage classroom activities and maintain safety standards.
Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities while fostering teamwork among staff members.
