Overview

We are a busy and friendly local specialty food store specializing in Cheese and Charcuterie and Prepared Foods. We are looking for a professional and experienced Chef to assist our Head Chef and to assist in the operating of our deli counters. The successful candidate must possess a Culinary degree and 1 to 3 years experience.

Duties
Prepare a variety of items including Appetizers, Sandwiches, Soups, Salads, and Charcuterie Platters. You will follow established recipes and standards but we will also be looking for your participation and suggestions in creating new offerings.
Operate our Charcuterie counter. This will require knowledge of and experience working with cured meats and serving the public.
Support food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene are maintained at all times.
Help with food presentation, ensuring each item looks appealing and meets quality expectations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Contribute to meal preparation during busy periods, ensuring timely service without compromising quality.




Follow all food safety regulations and health guidelines to create a protected workplace for staff and customers.
Provide friendly service by engaging with customers, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special dietary needs.Skills
A Culinary degree and experience is mandatory
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices.
Excellent serving skills with an approachable attitude towards customers.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Good understanding of food handling standards and hygiene regulations.
Willingness to learn new cooking methods and improve culinary skills through hands-on experience.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 – 37.5 per week
