Description
Ridgeline Roofing & Solar is hiring a full-time, entry-level Roofing Labourer in Prince George, BC to join our roofing crew. Reporting to the site foreman, the Roofing Labourer assists in roofing activities such as loading, unloading, and transporting roofing materials and tools between the staging areas and onto roofs as well as setting up ladders, scaffolding, perimeter markers, and fall arrest systems. Other responsibilities include gathering and disposing of debris and waste material to ensure work sites are clean and hazard-free and using hand tools to remove old shingles, built up roofing layers, and nails from roofs, down to the roof deck. As an entry-level position, the Roofing Labourer needs to be willing to learn, have a positive attitude, and be capable of working well in a team more than they need any prior knowledge or experience with roofing. Because we work in and around the Prince George area, this role also requires a valid BC driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. We do provide mileage reimbursement. The Roofing Labourer must also be comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions as well as with lifting and carrying heavy objects. This is a full time position with 40 to 50 hours per week and a $24 to $28 per hour wage. There is no prior experience required for this position. We will provide on-the-job training, including in roofing techniques, use of tools, and our safety standards. Fall Arrest and other required safety training will be provided during orientation. Once the Roofing Labourer is past the probationary period,
