Duties
Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against the purchase orders
Unload, unpack, and inspect incoming materials for damage or defects
Sort and organize received items in designated storage areas
Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer orders
Operate order picking equipment such as order pickers and reach trucks to retrieve items from high shelves
Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate quantities and measurements
Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and safety procedures
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
Requirements
Previous experience as a shipper/receiver or in a similar role preferred
Familiarity with order picking processes and equipment such as order pickers and reach trucks preferred
Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including order fulfillment and packaging
Basic math skills for accurate counting, measuring, and calculating quantities
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time
Solid attention to detail to ensure accuracy in receiving, sorting, and shipping items
Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly warehouse workplace
