Thompson Valley Disposal is a growing waste management and transportation company based in Kamloops, BC. As our operations continue to expand, we are looking for a reliable and adaptable Class 1 Driver to join our team on a part-time basis, with strong potential to transition into a full-time role.

This position is ideal for someone with a flexible schedule who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to support both local and long-haul operations when needed.

Position Responsibilities
Fill in on local roll-off and transportation runs
Assist with long-haul trips throughout BC/AB when required
Operate different units and equipment as required, maintain all units
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Maintain clean and skilled equipment
Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours when operational demands require it
Communicate effectively with dispatch and management
Support basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs when needed

Requirements




Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
Adaptable availability, including occasional weekends
Ability to adapt and switch between different trucks and job types
Mechanical background or strong mechanical aptitude is considered a major asset
Strong work ethic and dependable attitude
Experience with roll-off equipment, highway driving, B-trains, or heavy hauling is an asset
