Our client is seeking a hands-on Financial Analyst with robust month-end accounting experience for a 6-month contract with our client in Mississauga. There is potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.

Prepare journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations.

Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

Support financial reporting and resolve outstanding accounting items.

Maintain accurate supporting schedules and documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting,



Finance or a related field.

3+ years of hands-on month-end accounting and reporting experience.

Strong experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries and accruals.

Previous experience in a mid-to-large-sized organization with high transaction volumes.

Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables; macros are an asset.

Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and a proactive approach.

Duration: 6 months, with potential to extend or convert to permanent

Work Arrangement: Hybrid — 3 days onsite per week
