Job Description
The City of Mission Recreation Department is seeking qualified and enthusiastic fitness instructors to teach a variety of land fitness classes. The successful candidates will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment by demonstrating proper form, techniques, and modifications while providing clear and precise instruction. Applicants must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a recognized fitness certification, such as Group Fitness Instructor registration with BCRPA or CFES,
or an equivalent combination of training and experience. In addition, current Standard First Aid, CPR-C, and AED certifications are required.
Additional Information
Flexible availability is required for this position, as classes may be scheduled during mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Hourly Rate & Benefits
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $31.78/hour, plus 4% vacation pay.
This position will be included in the CUPE bargaining unit once agreement on the terms & conditions of employment are finalized
