Duties
Operate loaders, equipment to perform snow removal tasks with precision and efficiency
Conduct pre-operation inspections on equipment such as Caterpillar loaders and other machinery to ensure safety and optimal performance
Clear snow from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and walkways while adhering to safety protocols
Coordinate with team members to prioritize areas based on traffic flow and safety needs
Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly
Must have own vehicle to reach location on Carling Ave
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures during snow removal operations to minimize hazardsRequirements
Proven experience operating heavy equipment including loaders, in a construction or municipal setting
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues quickly on-site
Valid driver’s license preferred for transport to loader
Knowledge of heavy equipment brands such as Caterpillar or similar manufacturers is highly desirable
Ability to work outdoors in cold weather, loaders are heated
Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and snow removal best practices
