The Apotex Centre for the Aged is seeking a dedicated Recreationist to support therapeutic recreation initiatives. In this permanent part time position, you will assess residents' goals and interests while designing adaptive activities to promote their independence and well-being. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enrich recreational offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement therapeutic programs with residents
• Document and report required assessments and progress
• Attend interprofessional meetings to align goals
• Supervise and train volunteers effectively
• Maintain program supplies and resources

Requirements:
• Two-year College Diploma in Recreation or Activation
• Minimum 1 year experience in a Recreationist role
• Preferred membership in Therapeutic Recreation Ontario
• Skills in evaluating creative recreation programs
• Familiarity with geriatric care and community resources
