We're seeking a skilled 310S Technician to join our well-rounded automotive service shop in Thunder Bay, ON. You'll work on a diverse range of vehicles including customer vehicles, trailers, commercial safety inspections, and fleet maintenance (pickups up to 3500 series). A key aspect of this role includes maintenance contracts for specialized vehicles with complex systems, including electronic equipment and power load systems. You'll be part of a small, team-oriented team where you're trusted to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
Requirements:
Journeyman 310S certification (third or fourth year apprentices considered)
Valid driver's license and own tools
Ability to write safety inspections
Well-rounded mechanical skills including:
Chassis, brakes, and suspension work
Engine diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting
Complex tasks (engine/transmission swaps)
Multi-step diagnostic and repair capabilities
Low comeback rate and commitment to quality workmanship
Nice-to-have: Experience with specialized fleet vehicles
Compensation & Perks:
Wage: $35–$45/hour Not Flat Rate (based on experience)

Hours:
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
Overtime paid after 44 hours/week (rarely required)
14,000 sq ft shop with 5 hoists (including 20,000-lb heavy-duty lifts)
