We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of our childcare program at Port Edward Community School. This leadership role is ideal for an individual who is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for young children while supporting staff and building solid relationships with families.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day operations of the childcare programEnsure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all childrenImplement the Early Learning Framework and plan engaging, developmentally appropriate activitiesFoster curiosity and support children's individual needs and interestsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe environmentBuild strong, positive relationships with children, families, and staffEnsure compliance with licensing requirements and child-to-staff ratiosProvide leadership and support to staff,



including scheduling and substitute coordinationCommunicate effectively with families through newsletters, bulletin boards, and other methodsOversee snack planning and preparationImplement and maintain sanitation and cleaning schedulesPerform other related duties as requiredQualifications & RequirementsDiploma in Early Childhood Education (minimum two years post-secondary or equivalent)Minimum 5 years of experience working with childrenAt least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experienceValid ChildSafe First Aid CertificateStrong verbal and written English communication skillsProven ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and colleaguesAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgmentPhysically able to perform the duties of the position
