Developing algorithms for open quantum systems, including benchmarking and testing.
Quantum simulations of many-body systems: Developing and conducting simulations on classical and quantum devices.
Assessing physical resource costs in quantum hardware and algorithms; exploring fundamental thermodynamical costs associated with information processing
The position can be affiliated with either the Department of Chemistry or the Department of Physics at the University of Toronto.
Experience Candidates with a strong background in open quantum systems/quantum many body physics/quantum simulations/ quantum algorithms are invited to apply.
A PhD in quantum physics/ theoretical chemistry/applied math or other relevant field obtained within the last five years is required.
Salary 85 K CAD/year + perks. Funding is available for a 2-year project.
