Position OverviewSenior Electrical Engineer within WSP’s Property & Buildings M&E; Team, responsible for designing and delivering complex electrical systems for mission‑critical and high‑performance buildings across the GTA. Based in Thornhill or Downtown Toronto.ResponsibilitiesLead design/development of power distribution, lighting, grounding, earthing, and lightning protection systems for new and retrofit projects.Prepare, review, and approve technical reports, drawings, and specifications.Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and designers.Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and offshore design teams.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development activities.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.10+ years consulting experience in building systems design.Professional Engineer (PEO)



licensed in Ontario.Minimum 5 years experience delivering Data Centre or mission‑critical projects in Canada.Solid knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.Proficiency in Revit, ETAP, AGI32 or Dialux lighting design software.Proven ability to lead electrical design teams on complex, multidisciplinary projects.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams.CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $114,600 – $151,800MB & ON: $104,500 – $143,900NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $103,500 – $137,400EEO & Related InformationHealth and Safety is a core paramount value of WSP.
