Position SummaryWe have an exciting opportunity for a High Voltage Cable Termination Specialist. Reporting to the Technical Field Services Client Manager, the successful candidate will support project teams and field projects, ultimately providing exceptional client service through repair and maintenance of primary and secondary power equipment.AccountabilitiesInstallation of Medium and High Voltage Stress Cones (cold and heat shrink)Ability to install splices on Medium and High Voltage Cables (up to 72 kV)Repair, terminate and troubleshoot low, medium and high voltage power cablesInstallations to include heat shrink and cold shrinkWork safely and effectively on low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems in a variety of environments, including commercial, utilities, manufacturing, mining, pipeline and oil and gasTesting and diagnosis of cable health via DC, VLF / Tan Delta and Partial Discharge Test methodsParticipate in training programs to progress your skillset as a world‐class cable jointer on various types of cables with various jointing products/methodsConfidently work with various brands of test and troubleshooting equipmentComplete technical report writingInteract with clients in a courteous and qualified mannerIdentify and implement process improvementsRequirements4th year or Journeyman Electrician,



Power Lineman, PSE (Power Systems Electrician) or Electrical Engineering TechnologistTrade or tech school certification requiredHands‐on experience with electrical maintenance (low to high voltage power) is an assetPfisterer termination experience is an assetBroad knowledge in commercial, industrial and utility environmentsMust have a valid driver's licenseAbility to self‐manage with proven initiative and client focusStrong problem‐solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to travel to remote sites, work flexible shifts, which include weekends, evenings and statutory holidaysBenefitsThe organization offers a comprehensive, highly competitive benefits package to employees who work 20 hours per week or more.
