Drive Trolley's data initiatives as a Lead Data Engineer, playing a key role in managing data systems and teams from your home office in Quebec, Ontario, or Nova Scotia.
In this hands-on, player-coach position, you will lead the data team, manage a fellow engineer, and take ownership of the end-to-end data platform. Your expertise with Databricks, SQL, and AI will help enhance data integration and reporting while ensuring data governance and security standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor the data engineer on your team
• Manage Trolley's Databricks lakehouse for optimal performance
• Develop reliable data pipelines from production sources
• Partner with Finance for accurate revenue data processing
• Build AI-friendly data foundations for future innovations
Requirements:
• 7+ years in data engineering with a production platform
• Experience leading small teams and mentoring engineers
• Deep knowledge of Databricks, SQL, and Python
• Proven track record in finance-related data support
• Hands-on experience with AI tools in engineering workflows
