Our financial services client is seeking a Senior BI Developer (8+ years of experience) to build predictive models using Python, PySpark, Databricks, Azure, and SQL specific to AML - Join a data science team supporting transaction monitoring and risk mitigation initiatives within a banking environment.

This role focuses on machine learning, model development, AML/ATF scenario tuning, and analytical solutions supporting operational efficiencies and monitoring requirements.

The position offers exposure to exploratory analytics work and long-term project opportunities across FCRM initiatives.

The team environment is team-oriented and supports ongoing knowledge transfer and project ownership.

Contract, Toronto,3 days in office, 2 days work from home (could potentially go to 4 days in office) 6 months Must Haves 8+ years building predictive models using machine learning methods Expert-level Python , PySpark , Databricks, Azure, and SQL Advanced data exploration and data analysis skills Application of statistical techniques and data mining tools to solve business problems Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Computer Science,



or Software Engineering Nice to Have Databricks, programming, or statistics certifications Java, Scala, Tableau AML knowledge and experience on data-driven or data-centered projects Banking or financial institution experience Master’s degree Responsibilities Build and maintain transaction monitoring, customer behavior, and risk scoring models using statistical and machine learning techniques Conduct AML/ATF scenario performance tuning, machine learning execution, and model performance monitoring Provide maintenance of transaction monitoring scenarios and analytical queries supporting money laundering and terrorist financing risk mitigation Analyze, design, and support technical data management solutions across projects of varying complexity Partner with FCRM teams to implement changes to existing solutions and alternative solutions Support transaction monitoring related issues and questions from AML teams, audit, and internal partners Work with business teams to identify improvement opportunities and provide insights using supporting data and models
