As a member of Arista’s Linux Kernel team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and evolving the Linux kernel for EOS, ensuring it meets both current and future technological demands. This senior engineering role requires expertise in C programming and involves troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing kernel features while collaborating with various engineering teams and the open-source community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Track and implement developments in the Linux Kernel
• Develop and maintain EOS Kernel features and automated tests
• Qualify new Kernel dependent hardware components
• Contribute features back to the upstream Linux community
• Mentor junior engineers in software development processes
Requirements:
• BS in Computer Science or related field + 8 years experience
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python
• Hands-on Linux kernel troubleshooting experience
• Familiarity with Linux architecture and design
• Strong communication and documentation skills
